Freda Payne is performing at sea with Holland America Line from 29 October to 7 November 2026.
The engagement comes a month after her sold-out evening at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, where Freda Payne Portrays and Honors Legendary Ladies of Song closed with a three-minute standing ovation for “Band of Gold.” Cruise audiences get the same artist: a two-time Grammy nominee whose career runs from Detroit and Motown through Duke Ellington’s band, Broadway and more than twenty albums.
Her memoir, Band of Gold, written with Mark Bego and with an introduction by Mary Wilson of The Supremes, is available now.
